RePowerEU Program – Support for Your Transition to Green Energy
What is RePowerEU?
The RePowerEU Program is a European initiative through which Romania directly supports citizens and companies to produce and use renewable energy. Its main objective is to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and increase energy efficiency at the national level.
Funding Amounts
- STAGE 1, COMPONENT 1A: Voucher of 10,000 euros for the installation of complete photovoltaic systems (solar panels, inverter, battery) for the vulnerable population.
- STAGE 1, COMPONENT 1B: Voucher of 5,000 euros for the installation of storage equipment for already existing photovoltaic systems for the general population.
- STAGE 2: Voucher of 10,000 euros for the installation of complete photovoltaic systems (solar panels, inverter, battery) for the general population.
Who Can Participate

STAGE 1, COMPONENT 1A: Single individuals or families from urban or rural areas who, due to age, health problems, low income, or living far from energy sources, need support to cover their minimum energy consumption. These persons are considered vulnerable according to Law no. 226/2021 and are included in the official list transmitted by the Ministry of Investments and European Projects.

Project Implementation Steps
Step 1
Check eligibility
Read the official RePowerEU guide and make sure you qualify as a beneficiary.
Step 2
Choose an authorized installer
Partner of a certified manufacturer (e.g., LIVOLTEK Romania).
Step 3
Sign the contract
Obtain the technical and financial offer – depending on consumption, location, and type of equipment.
Step 4
Submit the funding application
The installer with whom you signed the contract will submit the applications for all beneficiaries’ projects in a single request, by December 20, 2024.
Step 5
System installation and expense settlement
If the selected installer has an approved contract, they will carry out the installation, and then submit the necessary documentation for expense settlement.
